Dear Parents, As I write this, a chill is in the air on Mount Ida. The last warm days of summer that stretched preseason into the school year seem like a distant memory. So much has happened in just a month; please join us for Parent Days to experience Emma Willard as your daughter does—in the classroom, on the playing fields, and in the midst of friends. Parent Days are October 16 and 17. I hope to welcome you then! Sincerely,
Parent Days, October 16–17Fall at Emma Willard is a busy time of year, and the best time of year to visit our beautiful school and experience firsthand your daughter’s life at Emma Willard. On Friday, October 16, you’ll have the chance to visit classes, socialize with other parents, get acquainted with your daughter’s friends and classmates, attend athletic events, and enjoy a showcase of Emma talent. On Saturday, you’ll have opportunities to meet her advisor, teachers, houseparent, and coaches. As you can imagine, our faculty members’ time is in high demand during Parent Days. Please double check with your daughter that she has made appointments for your visits. Faculty members are available only during the scheduled hours. Register here for Parent Days and get ready to enjoy your time on Mount Ida; we look forward to welcoming you! Admissions Open House and FairsDo you know a girl who might like to learn more about Emma Willard? We have an Admissions Open House on campus on Friday, October 23. For more information, please check the open house schedule on the Emma Willard Web site. Parents and prospective students are also always welcome to visit us at any of the many admissions fairs we attend. For a list of fairs, please look here. Even if that special girl can’t visit us at a fair, we would still love to see you! Parents are always welcome at fairs—who better to share the Emma experience with prospective parents than a current parent! 2009 Chasing the Cure 5K Run/WalkEmma Willard’s student organization Chasing the Cure will chase the cure for Hepatitis C during its annual 5k run/walk.
