 his year, Emma Willard’s Annual Fund will be directed to scholarship support. Your philanthropic gift will ensure that the opportunity for an Emma Willard education is available to all girls and that a family’s financial circumstances do not keep qualified girls from applying. Nearly half of current Emma students receive financial aid and bring with them their cultural, political, and social differences. |
The Emma Willard community benefits in innumerable ways because of the diversity the scholarship programs provide. In this increasingly difficult economy, it is all the more important that we fulfill our commitment to provide an accessible education for current and prospective students and that Emma Willard continues to mirror the world that these girls will enter.

Emma Willard’s annual operating budget is over $15 million dollars. As you can see in the pie chart, tuition revenue and endowment income covers only 87 percent of the actual cost of educating each student. The Annual Fund is critical to closing the remaining 8 percent gap in our operating budget.
