Meredith Legg graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in civil engineering and earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in civil engineering from Cornell University. Meredith most recently recruited high school students from New York State to participate in the New York Youth Institute and reviewed student essays and selected representatives to attend the 2009 Global Youth Institute. She has also been director of education and outreach for Engineers for a Sustainable World and was president of the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Meredith enjoys fabric art, fashion design, and sewing and is an avid skier and yoga practitioner.

Peter McCorkle received a B.A. in history and geography from Bucknell University and an M.S. in management information systems from Carnegie Mellon University H. John Heinz School of Public Policy. Pete was previously the assistant director on the FOCAS project at the NYS office of the State Comptroller. He has also been an adjunct professor at Union College, substitute teacher and Outing Club advisor at Harrisburg Academy, and a teaching assistant at both Carnegie Mellon and Bucknell Universities.
