Visiting Emma Willard School

"I came and decided I would go to school here, from seeing people interacting with one another and sitting in on classes." — Abby ’05

Prospective students are welcome to visit Emma Willard before submitting an application. An interview is required, so please contact the Admissions Office for an appointment. We recommend that you spend three hours at Emma Willard. During that time we will schedule a campus tour, a class visit, and an interview. If distance or other factors make this impossible, please call the office for an interview in your area.

For more information, contact the Admissions Office at 518-833-1320 or e-mail the Admissions Office.

When Emma Hart Willard first established her school in Troy, 90 girls from around the country were enrolled in math, science, history, foreign language, and literature courses. Willard herself not only served as instructor, she wrote a number of textbooks used at her school and throughout America.
